**Laser Operator / Laser Machinist
Location: Leamington Spa**

**Temporary-to-Permanent
Hours:37.5 hours per week.
Rotating weekly shifts**

**6.00am - 2.30 pm and 06.00-12.00 Friday and 2.30pm - 11pm and 12.00-18.00 Friday**
**Pay Rate**:Shifts £18.29 per hour

**The **Laser Operator / Laser Machinist** role**:

- Operating and running the laser machines
- Manufacturing components to a high standard
- Ability to interpret and work to CAD/engineering drawings
- Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, callipers, or Micrometres
- Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and making sure it is in working order and checking and ordering materials needed.
- Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
- Removing and cleaning of finished parts ready for Production.
- Daily TMP checks and general maintenance of Laser machines, replacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
- Completing your own quality control checks
- Completion of documentation
- Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

**The ideal **Laser Operator / Laser Machinist**:

- Experience of either Amada, Bystronic or a Trumpf machine would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of operating laser cutting machines, setting would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Has the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
- Applicants will need to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability
- Must be a self-motivated individual.
