**Job description**

**We are seeking a receptionist to join our friendly team.**

**As a receptionist, you will be providing a personal service to our patients throughout their visit to the practice. You will contribute to the first impressions of our patients and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards.**

**Employment Duties**:

- **Ensure that reception runs smoothly and efficiently**:

- **Meet and greet patients with a friendly manner**:

- **Answer telephone calls and queries, making or amending appointments**:

- **Update patient’s computer records as necessary**:

- **Take payments and update patients finance records on the computer system**:

- **Liaise with colleagues and dental laboratories**:

- **Follow all practice policies and procedures**:

- **Follow Health & Safety Codes, C.O.S.H.H and R.I.D.D.O.R. guidelines at all times**:

- **Obey all dental ethical guidelines including all rules on confidentiality, Data Protection and Child Protection**

- **Strong organisational skills**:

**Terms of Employment**:

- **Full time hours: 40 hours per week**:

- **8.45 am - 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday**:

- **In your first year of service you will receive 20 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays.**:

- **In your second year this will increase to 25 days plus Bank Holidays.**:

- **After two years service you will receive 28 days plus Bank Holidays**:

- **The successful applicant will require a DBS check, which will be paid for by the employer**:

- **Your salary will be between £23,000 and £26,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata for part time hours)**:

- **Qualified staff will have their annual GDC and CPD subscriptions paid for by the practice**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
