We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Middlewick. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout our property. You will lead and support our housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest accommodations and public areas are impeccably maintained.

Hours of work typically needed are 9-3pm Mon-Fri, with 1.5 weekends expected to work per month. Some events may alter the hours required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Conduct regular inspections of holiday cottages, glamping pods, public areas, spa, café and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
- Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods and special events.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and place orders as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room status, maintenance requests, and inventory usage.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing guest rooms and public areas as needed, especially during peak times or staff shortages.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing training and development programs.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a supervisory capacity within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and a dedication to providing exceptional guest service.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
