We believe that Apprenticeships are an incredibly powerful tool to attract and develop diverse talent in outdoor learning and to provide cost-effective solutions for employers in our sector. Our staff have decades of experience in the delivery of Apprenticeships that meet the needs of outdoor centres, schools, adventurous activity and recreation providers and outdoor learning charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations.

**The Role**

**General**
- Reporting to the Lead Tutor and Apprenticeship Systems / Quality Managers.
- Plan, resource and deliver high quality training for Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships.
- Manage own time and resources effectively to meet company, employer and apprentice needs.
- Manage and develop strong relationships with employers.
- Market our offer and promote the company and its work.
- Operate within, and contribute to, the company’s Safety Management Systems.

**Specific**
- Tutor for a caseload of approx. 30 apprentices across a number of employers.
- Coordinate and deliver apprenticeship training.
- Liaise with End Point Assessment Organisations.
- Support Internal Quality Assurance as led by the Programme Manager.
- Deliver the content of apprenticeship standards, including observations.
- Prompt assessment and feedback on OneFile and in the workplace.
- Support the delivery of skills courses as coordinated by the Lead Trainer.
- Support the development of Programmes of Study and resources for each Apprenticeship Standard.
- Maintain current, high-quality resources for learners.
- Undertake timely apprentice reviews.
- Support apprentices in logging off the job training and use of OneFile.
- Invigilate exams as required (eg functional skills).
- **Accountable for the progress and achievement of apprentices.**:

- Support active marketing - visits to potential new clients, sharing promotional materials, attendance at outdoor centre open days, providing advice and guidance, liaison with employer staff.
- Support recruitment - contact with employers, support with shortlisting, selection, induction, supporting employer staff, presence at outdoor centre open days and interviews.

**Skills and Occupational Requirements**
- An understanding of the Apprenticeships available in our sector and of their importance in workforce development.
- Have personal PC / laptop, mobile phone and high-quality broadband and 4G appropriate for the role.
- Have appropriate professional home office for work and glitch-free communication.
- Knowledge and experience in the outdoor sector with a current understanding of the training required to develop as an outdoor instructor.
- Knowledge and experience in education / adult learning and Apprenticeships.
- A range of current occupational (NGB) qualifications appropriate to the role, at a level enabling the delivery of basic NGB (for example BC FSRT, PSI; RYA DI)
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment qualification and experience appropriate to the role. For example Level 3 Award in Education and Training, TAQA Level 3.
- A full, clean UK driving licence and own vehicle appropriate for business use.
- A current First Aid qualification.

**Notes**

Full time, permanent role, salary £28k pa. Home-based, working independently online and through F2F training, meetings and visits. The role involves travel between outdoor centres and overnight stays. Our expectation is that hours are managed throughout the working week to meet the operational needs of the company and the personal needs of the post-holder.
