Extrusion Operator

Our Head Office is situated on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford, where we employ over 90 members of staff operating four slitters, printing presses and six extruders. In 2021 we acquired a second site situated on Baglan Energy Park in Port Talbot, where we employ over 50 employees running eight extrusion lines as well as conversion facilities.

There is a vacancy at our factory in Port Talbot for a Trainee Extrusion Operator. Reporting to the Extrusion Day Supervisor, the role will entail working as part of a team to ensure the high-quality manufacture of low density-based polythene film to customer requirements.

**RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE**:

- Complete all company production recording documents / paperwork.
- Carry out basic QA checks (dimensions).
- Log and summarise basic QA checks.
- Use correct safety equipment / PPE.
- Fill all extrusion polymer bins and additive bins.
- Maintain general housekeeping and hygiene at all times.
- Web up extrusion lines and equipment.
- Comply with company scrap procedure at all times.
- Be able to use manual and powered Pallet Trucks in a safe manner
- Follow packing procedure against works order (correct pallet, correct core, correct stacking).
- Change parent reels.

- Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst still maintaining standards set within the business
- Good attendance and time keeping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be beneficial
