**Post CCT Fellowship (ST8+) IN COLORECTAL SURGERY**

This post is available from October 2023 and will be available for twelve months, however there is possibility for this post to start before October 2023.

The Fellow will join the Colorectal team at the post CCT (ST8+) level. The post-holder will be expected to take on duties and commitments at the level of a peri-consultant level, and higher levels of responsibility (e.g. covering consultant commitments) may be offered by mutual agreement. The job would be ideally suited for a surgeon looking to gain additional broad colorectal experience prior to taking up a substantive or locum NHS consultant colorectal surgeon post. Subspecialty interests can be accommodated by negotiation.

The employer is the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is based on a whole time appointment for a 12+month period. The postholder will take a half slot on the 1:12 on-call middle grade / registrar General Surgery rota.

**The Colorectal Service**

The Colorectal Unit provides a full range of colorectal services. The following subspecialties are therefore covered:

- Core colorectal surgery and diagnostics
- Laparoscopy colorectal surgery
- Advanced Pelvic oncology
- Functional bowel disease/Pelvic Floor Disease
- Intestinal fail
