My client is a friendly family business, based in Aldershot, Hampshire. Their founders are entrepreneurs and therefore look to build teams with employees who possess a similar skill set in taking initiative and finding a way to achieve excellence in theirroles.

In 2019, they refurbished their 60,000 sq ft factory to include breakout areas for employees, a training facility for ongoing support, a studio for videography and photography, and a showroom for customers to experience the full product range and serviceoffering. They really value creativity and innovation, these are the perfect areas to increase communication with colleagues and generate ideas.

You will be working with a successful team and a forward thinking, modern business. My client is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to work closely with the directors as a Product Development Junior. In this role, you will assist in thedevelopment and management of new and existing products, ensuring that they meet company standards and customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee product development from conception to first production and launch
- Work together with the directors, sales and the marketing team to plan for product launches across social channels and the website
- Conduct market research to identify on-trend products within the industry and in retail
- Analyse competitor websites and catalogues to identify potential products
- Develop concepts for product lines which showcase our printing capabilities and present to internal leadership
- Keep up to date with new products launched by existing suppliers
- Identify potential suppliers by visiting trade fairs, researching online, etc. (International travel will be required)
- Provide recommendations on seasonal themes
- Collaborate with directors, purchasing, production and warehouse team on best packaging solutions for new and existing products
- Placing final orders with our purchasing team, ensuring precise information on requirements have been handed over
- Help to create product specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with company goals
- Ensure product testing, compliance and certifications meets industry requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation
- Support the directors in all aspects of product development
- Tendering and negotiating with suppliers to achieve best possible prices
