**What you’ll be doing**:
- Conducting a range of physical and technical security assessments such as; facility threat and vulnerability assessments, vital area identification, security surveys and operational requirements in support of the Physical Protection System (PPS).
- Coordinate and conduct a Programme of physical security testing to identify vulnerabilities and assure the efficacy of security measures.
- Work alongside other security disciplines, facility management and outside agencies to plan and deliver the effective provision of business enabling security and create resilient, secure working environments.
**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:
- Experience in a similar role acquiring the same skills and responsibilities, ideally gained in a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), Defence, law enforcement or another highly regulated environment.
- A practical understanding of security alignment to RIBA/APM stages of work.
- An appropriate Security qualification, at Level 5 or above from a recognised awarding body or ISMI CSMP, ASIS CPP.
- Applied experience and understanding of specifying, as an intelligent customer, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), forced entry protection, blast and ballistic protection and technical security measures.

**The Physical & Technical Security team**:
The Senior Security Advisor works within the Physical and Technical Security Team, which is responsible for the assessment of physical and technical security and delivering security measures that protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfill regulatory and legal obligations.
