An opportunity has arisen within our Adult Mental Health Complex Needs Service which works countywide with patients meeting criteria for personality disorder and HoNOS cluster 8. We are looking to recruit a temporary Team Leader to cover maternity for the team within Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust.

This role requires a highly skilled, flexible clinician who has exceptional skills in the caseload management and clinical background in working with Personality Disorder. Experience of management in a health setting is also essential.

The aim of this Service is to support recovery and enable individuals to achieve and enjoy independent living in the community. The treatment modality is Structured Clinical Management (SCM), consisting of specialist assessment and treatment phases, including a group teaching programme which comprises of aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mentalization-based treatment approach. Part of the team’s work is also in liaising with and offering teaching and supervision to those teams working with this patient group who do not meet threshold for CNS.

In order to support you within this role we are developing an ongoing education and supervision package tailored to working with this particular patient group. The team has weekly Reflective Practice with an external psychotherapist and alongside the usual clinical and managerial supervision required. This is an opportunity to engage with further learning to enhance job satisfaction and improve efficacy of treatments for patients.

The post holder will directly line manage the team of care coordinators and support workers delivering the SCM model. This post will directly report to the Clinical Lead. You will also have responsibility for a small caseload and be part of delivering the SCM model.
