Yard Assistant

C.L. Jones is a family run Timber & Builders Merchant and has been a leading name in the construction supply industry for 40+ years. With 8 branches across North Wales, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for builders, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts in the region.

**About the role**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Yard Assistant to join our team in our Llandudno branch. The role is Full Time, with a usual work schedule from Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday mornings 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on a rota basis.
- Order picking, loading of delivery vehicles or customers' cars
- Operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles
- Assisting customers with their purchases and answering their questions
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed
- Maintaining stock control and ensuring the yard and warehouse are kept clean and organized
- Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit as heavy lifting is required for this role
- Previous experience operating a forklift would be advantageous
- Familiarity with the building industry and materials would be beneficial
