**IT Disaster Recovery Manager**

Crone Corkill are currently assisting a Financial client who are searching for an IT Disaster Recovery Manager to join the business. This opportunity offers hybrid working and can be based in either the City of London, or South West London.

You'll be responsible for regularly liaising with IT SME's, Stakeholders and Board Members, gathering an understanding of new regulations that impact IT and making appropriate changes, offering your technical knowledge to challenge tech teams, work withauditors and regulators, as well as developing strategies, policies and plans to support business needs, among other duties.

This is a vital hire for my client as they look to continually improve DR processes in IT, adhere to DR related frameworks and make use of their new tool, Cutover.

**Key Skills as an IT Disaster Recovery Manager**
- Ability to communicate clearly with IT SME's and Stakeholders
- Managing and maintaining the IT Disaster Recovery Framework
- Experience/knowledge of Cutover (or similar)
- Understanding of AWS, SQL, Oracle, Windows and Linux environments
- Working independently
- Challenging IT SME's with technical questions
- Deep understanding of technical Disaster Recovery best practices, methodologies, trends & tools
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI)
- Knowledge of ISO22301
- Disaster Recovery planning and execution

**Key Responsibilities as an IT Disaster Recovery Manager**
- Proactively challenging the norm, sharing insights and best practice with IT teams to drive DR operations
- Providing DR expertise on projects
- Assessing and implementing improvements to Disaster Recovery plans, practices and processes
- Conducting tests to increase the effectiveness and maturity of the DR program covering on perm and Cloud
- Defining, developing, coordinating and manage DR plans
- Reviewing and advising on Disaster Recovery strategies
- Reviewing the outcomes of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and aligning the disaster recovery framework
- Working with teams and vendors to deliver DR actions
- Leading all disaster recovery exercises, ensuring integrity of disaster recovery procedures throughout
- Resolving DR queries
- Improving DR tooling (Cutover)
- Responding to IT and operational service disruption in the event of incidents/disasters
