Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias Hamilton

Hays are currently working with a Large FMCG manufacturer who are seeking the services of a Multi-Skilled (Elec Bias) maintenance engineer to work shifts at the site based on the outskirts of Glasgow, salary is £42500 basic plus OT available. Shifts 2 dayson, 2 nights on 4 days off.
The Role
Reporting to the Area Engineering Lead, effectively maintain sites manufacturing equipment and adopting a continuous improvement approach. Optimisation of plant equipment, adhering with engineering compliance and audit systems whilst ensuring all statutorystandards are kept and maintained through site.
Key Duties
- Optimum plant efficiency maintained or improved than OEM standards to maximise manufacturing
- Shift/daily reporting is accurate and timely
- Involved in maintenance strategy through teamwork and individual projects
- Adhering and improving maintenance schedules and PPM'S
- Ensuring health and safety practises are followed robustly and encouraged throughout engineering practises
- Maintaining facilities as well as manufacturing equipment for efficiency and sustainably

**Qualifications**:

- Recognised Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualifications. SVQ Level 3 minimum as part of time served apprenticeship.
- HNC/HND engineering recognised qualification(s)
- Proven track record of maintenance engineering within an FMCG environment.
- Thorough understanding of PPM techniques and associated maintenance software platforms
- Strong desire to develop apprentices and involved in mentoring sessions
- Working knowledge of Legislative standards within the FMCG environment. (BRC standards)
- Working Knowledge of statutory compliance regulations for Steam, Gas and Electricity
- High level of numeracy and ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Proactive approach to Problem solving.
- Ability to identify and implement Process improvements.
- Excellent communication, verbal and reasoning skills
- Capabilities to work as a team player with ability to act on own initiative.
