**Location: Site work in London and South-East area.**
**Salary: £25,000 (minimum 45 hours a week + overtime).**
**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Driller on behalf of one of our clients.
**Duties and Responsibilities for the Driller**:

- This is a varied role where you will be responsible for drilling and technical works across London and the Southeast region.
- You will be obtaining/collecting samples, logging soils, maintaining vehicles, plant and equipment and much more.
- Full training will be provided, including the opportunity to obtain industry recognised qualifications.
- The role is physically demanding and involves mostly site-based work (all year round). This will include the setting up of site equipment: including drill rig, on-site logging of soil samples to BS5930/Eurocode 7, ground-gas and groundwater monitoring,sample collections and any site related visits/works.
- You will also be required to travel regularly to the head office is based in Alton, Hampshire to collect, return and maintain samples and equipment.
- The role will involve driving equipment to site, including towing a trailer.

**Skills and Qualifications for the Driller**:

- Educated to GSCE level.
- Previous experience within the construction industry.
- Familiar with geotechnical/geo-environmental aspects of site investigation.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- For insurances purposes, you will need to be 25 years old + and hold a UK driving licence.
- Reliable and committed team player.
- Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to be self-directed when needed.
- Doesn’t mind working outside in all weathers.
- Eligible to work and live within the UK.
- Personable, with experience liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain the physical nature of the role.
- A positive problem-solver.
- Accurate with an attention to detail and follow-through.
- Out-going, personable and enthusiastic manner.
- Thorough planning, organisation and prioritising time.
- Ability to work calmly in a busy work environment.
- A strong work ethic is essential.
