**We require a Kitchen Assistant to work in our 5 star rated kitchen 3 days per week on a rolling rota at Barley Brook Care Home.**

**JOB DETAILS**:
**GENERAL**:
The post holder will maintain the cleaning of all kitchen equipment to a high standard and follow the procedure for cleaning rotas. The post holder will be required to assist the catering team, where necessary, in all aspects of the kitchen functions, including vegetable preparation

**KEY DUTIES OF THE POST**:
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Kitchen area.
- To be aware of the homes procedures & policies in relation to health and safety requirements.
- To provide an efficient response to emergency situations.
- Where required, to attend in-service programmes and discussions appropriate to this appointment.
- To understand the requirement for confidentiality in all matters relating to staff team members and residents.
- To work in accordance with duty rosters on a flexible basis.
- To participate in catering duties as directed by the Catering Manager.
- To report any faults, loss or damage to equipment.
