Geosense is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of instruments to the geotechnical, civil engineering, mining, and environmental industries. Working closely with clients like Balfour Beatty, Vinci, and Socotec, Geosense specialise in themanufacture of vibrating wire and MEMS sensors, which are used to produce a wide range of instruments.

Geosense are looking to take on a science manufacturing technician apprentice to help grow their workforce. Having grown 20% year in year they take great pride in the fact that they are able to manage their clients effectively whilst remaining a family runbusiness.

**What it’s like being a Science Manufacturing Apprentice**

As a Science Manufacturing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity work alongside experts, including the Operations Manager to assist with the manufacturing of geotechnical instrumentation products for long term monitoring in civil engineering projects.Main duties will include:

- Pick parts, record data on the production record and update the system
- Assemble products by following work instructions, keeping quality to a high standard
- Test, record and understand readings from the instruments to ensure they are working correctly.

**The Package**
- Starting salary of £17,680 (£8.50 ph)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- 40 hours per week (8.30-5.00pm) - M - F, although some evening and weekend work may be necessary
- Flexitime working policy in place (once probation period ends)
- 30 mins lunch break, with 2 x 15 min tea breaks
