We are looking for an experienced cook to join our nursery setting from.

As Nursery cook you will provide home cooked meals for all the children in our setting on a daily basis. You will be joining a team that has the motivation, experience, training, and attitude necessary to provide quality care and education to children from birth to five years.

This position is for 25 hours per week Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 1.30pm daily.

Job Elements:

- Qualification Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene and have a good working knowledge of the following guidance documents Setting the Table and Food Matters
- Someone to ensure the preparation and delivery of a balanced, healthy nutritious and tasty diet following our seasonal menus for all children aged 3 months
- 5 years, taking into consideration food allergies and preferences.
- Creating weekly food shopping requirements and the ability to work within a budget.
- Ensure that hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen are of the highest standards in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation. Working knowledge of ‘Cooksafe’ would be an advantage.
- To follow the settings kitchen procedures and maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health policies and processes
- Ensure that any allergies and preferences are catered for on a child's individual basic. As a staff member with this setting, you can expect excellent training, and development opportunities.
- Assist with general cleaning and laundry tasks along with all other staff members

Pay: £12.00 per hour
