The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the design and overseeing the implementation of solutions in line with the enterprise architecture strategy.
Your new role
You will lead and introduce the overall technical vision and high-level design for a particular solution, finding the best technology solutions to solve existing business problems. You will participate in architecture governance forums, ensuring that all architectureactivities and deliverables (in-house and outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing BBB standards, policies, and strategies.
- Creating high-level solution designs aligned to an architecture vision.
- Conducting system architecture evaluations to define target state architectures and transitional roadmaps.
- Technical review of any low-level design delivered by in-house or outsourced teams; ensuring they conform to solution design, security standards, industry best practices and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in architecture governance, presenting their solutions or other artefacts for wider review and approval.
- Peer review solution designs from other architects.
- Identifying technologies that can be leveraged to add value to the bank.
- Contributing to architecture strategies through collaboration with enterprise architects.Modelling architectures using the Bank's meta model within the Orbus iServer365 architecture modelling tool.
- Creating key design decisions and options papers.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- BCS/TOGAF certified or equivalent Degree or Equivalent experience
- Experience of creating architecture solution visions and high-level solution designs.
- Experience working with in-house and outsourced delivery teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to influence other key stakeholders (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, third party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations to arrive atthe optimal solution.
- Experience of designing Microsoft 365 and Azure based solutions.
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies; CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps beneficial.
