Graduate Sports Coach

Scarisbrick Hall School are looking to appoint a Graduate Sports Coaches with specialisms in Rugby or Netball, who will have the opportunity to be fully involved in all aspects of School life; academic, pastoral and the wider curriculum.

- thinking team. The Sports Graduate will work closely with the Head of PE & Sport and the Heads of Sport, supporting the delivery of an extensive weekly sports and extra-curricular programme.

This is an exciting prospect for someone who is a new graduate with an interest in entering the teaching/coaching profession or for someone who is looking for a year’s professional experience before following a career outside education.

We are looking for someone who:

- Work effectively as a member of the sports department to improve the quality of teaching, coaching and learning.
- Take responsibility for school teams across all terms. This will include team practice sessions, team selection and assisting with organising attendance at all fixtures.
- Make a full contribution throughout the week and at weekends to the extra-curricular life of the school by coaching as required by the Heads of Sport. Fixtures are Saturday morning until 1:00pm every week.
- Give general assistance in Physical Education and Games lessons across all age ranges. This will include umpiring duties.
- Assist with the Teaching of Core Physical Education and involvement with academic Physical Education lessons if required.
- Assist with the school’s hosting of opposition students, staff and parents on match days.
- Undertake any reasonable tasks as directed by the Head of PE & Sport such as administration tasks

The salary shown is for full-time (52 weeks)
