**Operations and H&S Coordinator**

Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited are currently seeking an Operations and Health & Safety Coordinator, ideally with experience of working in the construction industry.

Job Type - Permanent

Hours required - Full time or Part time considered, 5 days a week Mon-Fri
Salary - £20-25k dependent on experience, pro rata if part time

Start date - Negotiable

Benefits - 28 days holiday including bank holidays (pro rata), free on-site parking

Language - English preferred

Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited is a small, personally run business based in the Cotswolds and has run as an established company for over 15 years. The business holds an excellent reputation within the industry, working hard to ensure we provide a high level of customer service with a high standard of workmanship. The majority of our works are for private domestic clients or small developers, all within an hour of Cirencester.

Alongside our own staff working on the ground, we hold a portfolio of sub-contractors that we work with regularly, and we are now looking to further our Health and Safety operations.

Due to our location and nature of our business and this role, a clean full driving licence is essential. You will need your own transport for getting to and from work.

**Objectives**

To help achieve compliance with Health and Safety regulations and assisting with daily operations and logistics.

**Reporting**
Reporting directly to the director - Ian Chamberlain

**Key Responsibilities**
- Health & Safety Inductions
- Company Policy Inductions
- Toolbox talks; compiling, delivery and maintaining records
- PPE monitoring and compliance
- Checking adherence to Company Vehicle Policy
- Checking adherence to Plant Machinery Procedure, ensuring employees undertake and correctly record daily Operator Inspections
- Plant and vehicle defect management
- Help yard manage equipment for site, setting up sites, ensuring site welfare provided, ensuring sites have machinery required
- Liaising with sites/yard/Ian/office to achieve the above
- Help maintaining stock levels in ICG yard

**Competencies**
- Dependable, punctual and with a flexible, positive attitude
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Able to work with a variety of team members
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Confident to drive to and be present on various construction sites to complete tasks

**Education/Experience**
- GCSE’s or equivalent in Mathematics and English
- Experience in a Health & Safety environment or construction role
- SMSTS qualified or be willing to undertake this qualification
- Understanding/qualified in PUWER
- Understanding/qualified in LOLER
