**Daily Responsibilities**:
**Machine Setup**:

- Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation, including installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials.
- Follow setup sheets and instructions provided by the CAD/CAM programmer.

**Program Loading**
- Load the G-code program into the CNC machine’s control system.
- Verify that the correct program is loaded for the specific part to be manufactured.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from the CNC machines.

**Operation Monitoring**:

- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are being produced to specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Ensure that the machine runs smoothly and make real-time adjustments as needed (e.g., adjusting feed rates or spindle speeds).

**Quality Control**:

- Perform initial quality checks on the first piece produced to ensure it meets specifications.
- Conduct periodic inspection quality checks on finished parts and report defects or issues.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering team to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement.

**Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on the CNC machine to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any issues or malfunctions to the production and engineering team.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

**Troubleshooting**:

- Identify and address potential issues during machining, including tool wear, breakage, and conduct tool calibration.
- Monitor water and air pressure, and ensure adequate lubrication and cooling are applied to the tools.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Requirement:

- BTEC Level 2 or 3 Diplomas in Engineering or Manufacturing.
- City & Guilds Certificates in Engineering or related fields.

**Experience and Skills**
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Sufficient understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to machine operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and handle materials and tools as needed.
