We welcome applicants who have a genuine interest in working within the Health and Justice setting in prison. The successful applicant will receive regular clinical and managerial supervision along with excellent training and development opportunities within GMMH.

We are looking for a suitably qualified PWP with experience of working with adults in a mental health setting to join our in-reach team at HMP Risley and HMP Thorncross.

You will be working as part of our passionate multi-disciplinary team and identify and deliver appropriate therapies to the population of the prison. You will understand the stepped care model and use this to sign-post, refer and discharge to other agencies and teams.

- This post is to work within the Mental Health Inreach Team within the stepped care model of the primary mental health care provision.
- The post holder is responsible for providing a qualified psychological therapy service to adult, male service users who are in custody at HMP Risley and HMP Thorncross providing evidence-based model-specific psychological assessment, formulation and therapy, and advice and consultation to colleagues, and to other non-professional carers, on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care and treatment.
- The post holder will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence.
- The post holder will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
- The post holder will contribute to training on a multi-disciplinary basis.
- The post holder will participate in clinical audit and service development within the remit of the post.
- The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
- The post holder will take line management responsibility for junior staff / health and wellbeing practitioners.
- The post holder will receive clinical supervision in line with current trust policy by an appropriate registered health professional
