This post is a 1 year fixed term full time (10PA) post for a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a dynamic team of consultants. The post holder must have a specialist interest in knee surgery to a fellowship standard. The postholder will be expected to take part in the on call trauma rota.

Along with our existing team of 18 consultants, the post-holder will provide a comprehensive trauma and orthopaedic service to our local population of approximately 500,000.

There is an active postgraduate teaching and research programme within the department and with 18 junior and career grade medical staff, the post holder will be involved in the teaching programmes. The Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust values and is working towards equality and diversity and welcomes applicants from all sections of the community. Consultants unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post.
