**About the role**

We have an exciting career opportunity for a talented People Partner to join Ocado Group and take ownership for partnering with Ocado Solutions, and our Group General Counsel business area's on people initiatives to effectively deliver on our people strategy. The initiatives include engagement, performance management, L&D interventions, talent management and many more.

Reporting into the Head of People Partnering, you will be commercially minded, collaborative in your approach, and able to lead on key practical people initiatives focusing on both immediate and long term objectives, as well as able to manage operational requirements and deliver business partnering solutions.

**In this role you will**:

- Work in collaboration with the Principal People Partner and the Head of Partnering to develop people initiatives with leaders/managers at all levels to address both immediate and long term objectives for Solutions and Group General Counsel.
- Combine commercial focus with HR/People expertise to improve organisational effectiveness by delivering people initiatives and aligning HR policies and procedures to support business strategy.
- Support the Principal People Partner and the Head of People Partnering with annual cycles across the employee life cycle and use data and insight to inform decision making
- Work closely with managers and key stakeholders in a proactive and partnership capacity to coach, advise them to understand and effectively implement people policies, procedures and best practice.
- Work closely with specialists & partners in our Centres of Expertise and drive the development and implementation of key products to support people plans.
- Provide pragmatic and professional expertise and advice on people matters e.g Inclusion & Diversity, Engagement.
- Liaise with our new Advisory Team for all employee relations, particularly performance management, disciplinary, grievance and appeals and other specific topics.
- Manage and facilitate transformation and change in terms of organisational structures and working practices.
- Manage and implement people projects and lead change initiatives, including implementing new tools and processes that will provide better support to stakeholders.
- Utilise employee data and trend analysis to lead, educate and work in partnership with line managers on people issues, e.g employment engagement and reducing turnover. Identify priority trends and advise management on action plans, options and solutions

**Experience we seek**:

- Proven background and extensive experience in a People Partner/Generalist role with strong commercial awareness.
- Experience of working in a matrix structure where success is achieved through a number of stakeholders (e.g. COE's, Shared Service Operation, Talent Acquisition, Reward etc).
- Solid experience of various People disciplines, including Employee Relations, Performance Management, Reward & Compensation, Employee Engagement and Inclusion & Diversity
- Experience in change management, talent management, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness
- Experience of presenting data and information in clear, compelling ways
- Ability to design and communicate clear processes and have a flexible / creative approach to problem solving
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all employee levels (including upwards)
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills; able to listen and persuade others
- Comfortable with data, showing analytical capability to make informed decisions and anticipate business priorities.
- Confident decision maker who is able to work independently
- Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong cultural awareness
