**JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator - Activity Club**

**SALARY: £ 11.55 per hour**

**CONTRACT LENGTH: TBC**

**HOURS: 12 hours per week - 3pm-6pm Monday-Thursday**

**RESPONSIBLE TO: The Charity Manager**

**The aim of the SPACE centre is to provide local children who have additional needs with the opportunity to play in a friendly and safe environment, as well as to provide parents and carers support and the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation**.

**The core purpose of this role is to develop, plan, facilitate, evaluate and ensure a continuous improvement in relation to the after school activity club sessions.**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To oversee the efficient delivery of activity clubs for children and families.
- Maintaining high standards of service in all areas of the centre (including but not limited to health & safety, safeguarding, housekeeping including medication handling).
- To engage positively with children in the clubs to provide a caring, secure environment.
- To enthusiastically develop and deliver accessible and inclusive play session activities for children.
- To direct, mentor and provide support to play session staff and volunteers.
- To support the Operations Manager in establishing a network of referring organisations, proactively maintaining regular contact and updating the charity database.
- To be prepared to work evenings, weekend and bank holidays as required, to cover the operating hours of the facility.
- To check and maintain the play areas, ensuring a safe standard and reporting any concerns.
- To maintain high levels of cleanliness within the centre - including participation in equipment cleaning shifts if required.
- To respond quickly and efficiently to any complaints from customers.
- To deliver excellent customer service and feed back to the Charity Manager.
- To attend staff meetings, working collaboratively with the Charity Manager.
- To attend training as required.
- To have full working knowledge of and work within all relevant SPACE policies (including but not limited to Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection policies, proactively reporting concerns in line with the policy).
- To provide refreshments to service users.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Charity Manager or Board of Trustees.

Experience of working with children with additional needs

Experience of working with parent/carers.

Experience of working with children in a supervisory role.

Level 3 or above in a Childcare qualification.

Experience of working with volunteers

Experience of delivering group activity sessions for children with additional needs.
