**Job Overview**

Furthermore, on a day-to-day basis, you will focus on providing ongoing technical support to staff members and collaborating with Student Support to resolve technical issues that students may experience. Additionally, you will perform administration and maintenance of the VLE as directed by the Learning Technology Manager.

You must be a detail-oriented individual with excellent IT, written, and oral communication skills. You must have demonstrable experience working with teams and the ability to work using your initiative.

You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work and communicate with various stakeholders throughout the organisation effectively.

You must have prior experience in using and administering VLEs, preferably Moodle.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Technical**
- Provide technical support to users of the VLE and other learning platforms.
- Provide administrative support by uploading and updating VLE content, ensuring that all content is robust and complete before student enrollments.
- Lead the module duplication process.
- Perform basic manual testing before VLE upgrades as directed by the Learning Technology Manager.
- Respond to and resolve when possible inquiries from the Student Support team, academic staff and University of Liverpool Online lecturers.

**Pedagogical**
- Upload new module content to the VLE as part of the ongoing module development cycle.
- Provide training for KOL staff and University of Liverpool Online lecturers when necessary and create training materials in various formats.
- Committed to delivering an excellent experience for all users of the VLE.
- Evaluate pedagogical approaches throughout the module development and liaise with module authors when appropriate.

**Other**
- Identity opportunities to improve the user experience on the VLE in collaboration with the Learning Technology Manager.
- Identify and participate in continuous professional development where appropriate.
- Perform miscellaneous support duties as required.

**Essential Skills**
- Experience in the technical administration of VLEs, preferably Moodle.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, supportive and professional style.
- Computer literate with a broad understanding and knowledge of current web technologies and trends.
- The ability to work with limited direction from the Learning Technology Manager.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly when communicating with a non-technical audience.

**Desirable Skills**
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards such as WCAG.
- Familiarity with recognised e-learning technical standards such as SCORM.
- Some knowledge of copyright relating to online learning.
- An undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience).
