Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various types of pipes and pipe systems. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools. Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine pipe layouts - Cut, thread, and bend pipes using power tools - Weld or solder pipes together using various techniques - Assemble and install pipe systems for water, gas, steam, or other liquids or gases - Inspect and test installed pipe systems for leaks or defects - Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion - Maintain accurate records of work performed Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of pipe systems - Proficient in using power tools for cutting, threading, and bending pipes - Ability to weld or solder pipes using appropriate techniques - Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe dimensions - Knowledge of stick welding is preferred but not required - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications accurately - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications - Opportunities for career advancement within the company Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
