**Procurement Specialist**

**Location**: Coatbridge, Lanarkshire

**Salary**: £38,000 - £50,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus package and car / allowance

A leading independent railway electrification provider and principle contractor is looking to hire Procurement Specialist to implement and manage, Sub-contract and Tender Procurement activities within the business.

**Responsibilities**
- Carrying out the Subcontract and tender procurement process for procurement & supply chain management requirements for the projects and Central Team in accordance with the project procurement & supply chain management strategy and business processes and procedures.
- Preparation of ITT's, obtain quotations/tenders, Subcontracts.
- Compilation of data relating to supplier responses
- Complete supplier evaluations for designated procurement exercises as required when bids are returned.
- Complete supplier negotiations and post tender/quotation meetings as required to enable short listing of suppliers.
- Prepare order/contract award recommendations as required
- Take ownership of reporting function and requirements for the Sub-contract and tender procurement activities Projects and Central Team, spend forecasting, supplier performance and improvement plans, sustainability reporting and client based reports.
- Liaise with project delivery team to assist with the resolution of supply chain issues as and when required.
- Monitor the supply market to identify potential new suppliers/products and meeting with suppliers to advance any innovation.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar role ideally in the railway or construction sectors
- Substantial project and central buying experience within a Project related environment.
- A proven track record within leading the Subcontracts and ITT procurement process and delivery of activities within a major project environment.
- Good levels of numeracy, organisational and communication skills
- Full driving licence
- Computer-literate
