Machine Builder

The duties of the Machine Builder will be to run wires from such things as motors, lights, controllers and panel heaters to connectors and or junction boxes. These include multicore and single wires which require stripping and terminating into various forms of connectors and consumer units. Using quick release or screw terminals. You will be expected to access all parts of the machine to install components these could be on the bottom or top of the unit requiring working at a low level (laid on floor)
You will be expected to work with other people such as fabricators during the building process. It's very much a team build process. So, everyone is expected to help with the building process. This lends itself to members of the team being multiskilled and learning all the processes it requires to build the units. This includes sheet metal cutting and bending. Drilling and riveting. All training will be given on site by current staff.
The role offers a starting salary of £26,000 on completion of a three-month probation then up to £27,000 once fully skilled in all areas of the manufacturing process. This will be discussed at your next review.
You will report directly to the shop floor team leader.
Hours of work 7am till 3:30pm Monday to Thursday then 7am till 12am on Friday.
There is an option for paid overtime in the future depending on the company's orders.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
