I would like to welcome an individual that can bring their knowledge, experience and skills from the nuclear sector or another industry or sector, and transfer them to further develop and enhance our safe delivery of the Magnox mission.

Key Deliverables:
Carry out operations/maintenance and provide technical support in a radioactive environment as directed.
Obtain technical direction from relevant Engineers, as required.
Investigate plant faults and carry out maintenance, health physics and operational work as appropriate.
Examine plant faults to identify causes and propose solutions. Where necessary this will be in the form of written reports.
Carry out engineering of work order cards and preparing risk assessments.
Carrying out data analysis and where appropriate advising on requirements for additional work
Support the effective deployment of company-wide policies, processes, systems and procedures ensuring that at all time the business remains compliant.

Qualifications and Experience:
BTEC Level 3 or ONC, NQF level 3 or equivalent in a technical discipline (Essential)
Competent in electrical/mechanical/C&I fault finding to maximise safe working and minimising machinery non availability (Desirable)
Experience in a technical discipline in an industrial environment (Essential)
Relevant knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures (Essential)
Relevant knowledge of radiological and nuclear related plant including relevant safety standards and procedures (Desirable)
Experience of operating forklift trucks, overhead cranes and lifting equipment (Desirable)
Computer literate (Desirable)
Driving Licence (Desirable)

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
