**Hours**: 40 Hours per week

**Shift Pattern**:Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 15:00

**Salary**:£27,872 per annum (£13.40 per Hour)

**Location**:Kingmoor, Carlisle

**Job Introduction**

As a Recycling Collection Vehicle (RCV) driver you will responsibly and safely drive the vehicles around the designated routes, collecting recycling and/or waste products from customers’ sites and take them to the designated tipping site.

**What you’ll do**:

- Drive and operate the RCVs safely around the required route, and to the required tipping point, in accordance with the driver’s handbook
- Collect recyclables, general and green waste from households, bring sites and/or commercial locations in your specified area, as part of a team
- Ensure all jobs are recorded electronically on the vehicle tablets & all other paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and submitted were appropriate
- Work with the vehicle co-driver/team to ensure that all properties on assigned routes are serviced efficiently and effectively, as per the collection schedule
- Assist with the Recycling Operative duties, as and when requested
- Ensure all daily checks are done on vehicles/loads and any defects reported as per procedure
- Act responsibly in relation to all matters which may affect the Health and Safety of yourselves and others whilst on Company premises, customers’ premises and travelling between sites, and to adhere to safety regulations at all times

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- A driving licence appropriate to the LGV vehicle (C or CE)
- A valid Driver CPC
- A digital tachograph driver card

Desirable:

- Previous LGV driving experience
