**About the Actuarial Analyst role**:
As our **Actuarial Analyst**, you will help produce files and insights for VitalityHealth across all Corporate Actuarial reporting functions, including reserving, technical actuarial work and capital work under Solvency II. In addition to completeadhoc investigations using strong data skills to help provide new insights into claims and profitability investigations to support this work.

**Your responsibilities as our Actuarial Analyst will include**:

- Reporting to a Senior Reporting Actuary within the wider Actuarial Reporting team for VitalityHealth. You will be pivotal in producing the actuarial inputs and completing analysis across many key reporting processes, and part of a larger team deliveringrelevant actuarial insight for the business
- Managing the workloads across a number of processes as well as completing detailed investigations whilst working with peers across finance, pricing and clinical analysis to understand developing trends and experience within the business
- Setting our claims reserves for monthly performance tracking, with particular focus on investigations to support the appropriate level of reserves.
- Solvency II reporting, including calculation of technical provisions, review of assumptions bases and methodologies. This also includes capital planning and working on the ORSA.
- Profitability investigations including lifetime profitability and current experience investigations.
- Tracking overall business actuarial dynamics and using this information in deriving and setting up all actuarial aspects of the annual business plan

**What we’re looking for in our Actuarial Analyst**:
**Essential**
- Actuarial Science, Mathematics or numerate degree
- Desire to study to become an Actuary
- Strong coding capabilities in SQL and R
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excel skills
- Degree level or equivalent - has in-depth knowledge in own discipline, gained through significant work experience in a relevant role or sector

**Desirable**
- Interest in further coding and statistical software
