Term Time Nursery Practitioner

**We are looking for a level 2 or level 3 qualified, inspiring and nurturing ‘Nursery Practitioner’, with previous experience in early years or childcare.**
**Applicants must hold a recognised and relevant childcare or early years’ qualification to be considered for the post.**
The role is to work term time only, Monday to Friday 40 hours varying between 7.30am and 6.00pm, term dates are set by the nursery and given to employees from April to March. *Please note that our term dates don’t always match those of local schools*

An excellent and rare opportunity to join our organisation as we are currently looking to recruit a nursery practitioner.
**Key Duties**
To work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.
Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment.
Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self expression, and learning through play.
Monitor, assess, record and report on their development and progress using the planning cycle.
Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for guidance in your practice with the children.
Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that parents are their children’s first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
Be aware of child protection issues and follow the company policy and procedures.
Participate in professional development and training, mandatory training such as Safeguarding/Child Protection, First Aid, to be done every three years or when legislation has changed. Welfare requirements, Continuous professional development training you will participate at least once a year which management will identify your area for development.
**Requirements and experience**
We are seeking a nursery practitioner with previous experience. Our team are always striving for the best practice in child care and development as well as the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Level 2 or 3 or above early years or childcare qualification
Experience of working in an early years’ setting
A positive and influential outlook who role models’ good practice
Adaptable to the needs of the nursery and organisation
Ability to build strong nurturing relationships with the nursery team
The ability to build strong lasting relationships with parents through pedagogical conversations
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Strong desire to influence positive change when required through role modelling our values of nurturing future leaders
