Database & Data Warehouse Lead

**THIS JOB IS BASED ON THE CHANNEL ISLANDS - JERSEY**

This role provides technical support and coordination during warehouse design, data lake design, testing and movement to production. The competencies for this role will help you **deliver the following outcomes**:

- Production SQL Server/Database development and administration support in fast moving, secure, DevOps environment
- SQL development including creating and designing SSRS Reports, SSIS Packages, and Team Foundation Server with Visual Studio.
- Improved database schema, database design, and transition development activities.
- Speedy data analysis and centralisation of data assets through Data Lake or similar technology
- Ease of Data recovery as a result of scheduled system backups, database archive operations, and up-to-date system documentation and configuration management records.
- Standard operating procedures for Data management/operation according to best practice
- Regular hardware and software audits of servers and databases in compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

- Reduce database complexity, increase resilience and usability of data through accurate modelling (ERD, DFD) for all production databases and warehouses
- Availability of all database services and systems operational hours and where required 24x7x365
- Expertise in Data Processing and storage technology across the business and externally.

You will be directly involved in implementing and enforcing standards and procedures ensuring data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the warehouse.
