**We are recruiting Clerical / Administration Officers for the Ministry of Defence. To work within their Human Resources department.**
**This is a remote, Working from home opportunity**

**The Role**:
We are recruiting for Administration Officers for the RAF Division of the Ministry of Defence. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Public Sector and develop your career by providing advice and assistance to the admin support function with theirHuman Resources department, utilising your practical administrative skills.

**What will be your primary responsibilities?**
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the following:

- Processing of Appraisals for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) service personnel administered by the Air Human Resources (HR) Service.
- To be fully conversant with, and advise on, all matters regarding the completion of Appraisals in accordance with MOD policy and procedure.
- To provide timely assistance with correct, succinct advice to both Appraisal Subjects and Reporting Officers when required.
- To send calling notices to all Subjects due an Annual Report (AR) in a timely manner and use returns to update the Subjects.
- To verify all completed ARs, manage any corrections that are required before sending to Record, resolve all ongoing appraisal issues when identified and to ensure that the relevant authorities are kept informed as necessary.
- To maintain close association with stakeholders, especially Career Management.
- Hold a minimum of two GCSE passes (grades A*-C) or equivalent or higher and have a minimum of one year's administrative/clerical experience in an office environment, including general office duties, word processing and practical use of computers OR havean NVQ Business Administration Level 1.
- Ability to organise a busy workload to deliver effective results on time and meet changing demands as required
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others as part of a team, using own initiative to solve problems and respond to others
- Ability to take a responsive and customer-focused approach to work and protect customer and colleague confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Demonstrable experience in using Outlook, Excel, and Word in an office environment whilst being proficient in ICT.
- You **must be able to attend RAF Cosford, Wolverhampton, WV7 3EX as and when required and to initially pick up your equipment**
