As a Programme Lead, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across HNY to lead on the commissioning and contracting of dentistry.

The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the Department or Directorate.

The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.

Key aspects of this role will be to:
develop effective working relationships between contracting, commissioning, information governance, performance management, service development and clinical governance to ensure that the implications of commissioning decisions are appropriately reflected in dental contracts and agreements.

interpret and implement complex national guidance and develop associated policies and guidelines as necessary.

lead on the development of service specifications and contribute to the development and redesign of care pathways to ensure services commissioned provide quality and value for money.

procuring and monitoring contracts with dental contractors and other providers to ensure quality, safety and effectiveness of services.
