Student Support Assistant

**The Role**

You will be to support students within the learning and / or residential environments (shift dependant) in order to promote each student’s intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development and to promote a caring environment by providing a high standard of care including toileting, washing, bathing and mealtime assistance.

The usual school day is 08.30am
- 16.00pm Monday
- Thursday (2pm finish on Friday). However, as the school has residential provisions, the shift patterns vary to assist students with getting up in the morning, or to provide support after school hours and during the night.

This would be shift working with flexibility week to week to work around you, Shift patters are
- Monday 08:30am - 4pm **or**12:30pm - 21:30
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7am - 4pm **or** 12:30pm - 21:30pm **or** 16:00pm - 22:00pm
- Friday 08:30am - 2pm
- Up to £20 Per Hour DOE
- Experience with Personal Care
- School / Class room background experience would be advantageous.
- **Must **be trained in Moving and Handling (Practical certificate)
- Professional, calm manner
- Act with discretion at all times
- Demonstrate an ability to work conscientiously, with enthusiasm, resilience and integrity
- Exceptional communications skills and patience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£20.00 per hour
