**Strategic Originator - Renewable PPAs**

To support growth, we are looking to add an experienced originator to the team to focus on growing our presence in the > than 10MW segment. As the 4th largest I&C supplier of renewable electricity we are well placed to support a route to market through both CPPA structures and the wholesale market.

**About the role**

As a Strategic Originator - Renewable PPAs, you’ll be responsible for leading our sales efforts in this key growth segment. The focus will be on strategic growth, maintaining existing relationships, build new relationships with asset owners, large developers and market intermediaries whilst working closely alongside our existing Renewables, Supply Sales and Trading teams.

Leading negotiations for renewable PPA contracts, you’ll work closely with the Supply Sales team on the negotiation of bespoke customer contracts and associated services for our strategic customers. You’ll take full ownership and accountability for customers contract and operational delivery, supported by the Renewable Operations team.

Using your experience in delivering sales targets, you’ll define the overarching sales strategy for this new segment, including go to market and proposition design.
Managing new business and renewal sales of standard and bespoke PPA contracts, you’ll deliver and exceed your sales targets using route to market channels - including market intermediaries.

Relationship building will be key, working with the Strategy and Marketing teams to develop leading presentations and segmented approaches to customer engagement whilst feeding back to the business challenges and opportunities to ensure Drax’s approach remains relevant and customer centric.

**About you**

A proven track record of delivering or exceeding sales targets is a must. You’ll possess market leading knowledge of renewables products, PPA’s, CPPA’s flexible products/solutions available to Strategic customers. An understanding of managing and selling into high value Public Sector tenders/framework is desired. You’ll be commercially astute with a good understanding of risk and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
