Bradford Council is looking to appoint a Youth Support Worker (Leader in Charge) who will develop and deliver youth sessions in Shipley. The post holder will work under the supervision of a professional youth workers to develop, deliver and evaluate good quality youth work in locality areas.

Please note that post-holders will be required to work flexibly with working hours often being in the evenings or / and weekends.
- To initiate and develop relationships with 11 - 19 year olds and up to 25 year olds for young people with disabilities.
- To work directly with young people to enable them to broaden their horizons and engage in positive activities.
- To design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the Youth Service cornerstones of Equality, Participation, Education and Empowerment and delivery of the Youth Offer on Information Advice & Guidance, Open Access Youth Provision, Targeted Work/Special Support, People Can Initiative Agenda and Youth Voice.

**To be ready for this opportunity you need to possess**:

- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Youth work or experience of working with young people, aged 11-19 and up to 25 (for young people with disabilities) in a paid or voluntary capacity.
- An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post._
