**Job Description**:

- ** Job Title**:Customs Administrator
- ** Job Type**:Permanent
- ** Hours**: 37.5 per week
- ** Job Location**:Shepton Mallet
- ** Salary**:£22,000 - £25,000

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Ensure correct and timely filing of customs and related declarations in accordance with the UK’s customs system.
- Make a key contribution to SGS customs brokerage service, working with colleagues to ensure accuracy, compliance and customer satisfaction within the parameters of all relevant legislation.
- Provide support to customs specialists.
- Support colleagues making declarations of imports and exports to and from the UK.

**Key Accountabilities;**
- Make accurate and time efficient declarations.
- Ensuring accurate relay of information consistent with client profile, checking. with client/colleagues when necessary to ensure compliance with relevant customs legislation.
- Provide a polite and prompt response to all customer queries to maintain excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
- Use SGS inhouse software, GTA, to make declarations.
- Ensuring clients experience is of the highest customer excellence standards to achieve client retention, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure knowledge of customs practices and standards are maintained inline with current legislation/regulation, through continuous professional development.
