Meter Reader

We are currently recruiting for a Meter Technician to work on behalf of a leading utilities company on a temporary to permanent basis. This role will be covering the Buckingham/Brackley area.

As a **Meter Technician** you will manage your own workload so will feel like you are your own boss with the support of a big organisation behind you.

Location: Buckingham/Brackley area.

**Salary**: £12.40 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start: ASAP
Hours - Working a 37-hour week. Your hours are flexible and organised by you between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays this includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customersare most likely to be at home.

Main Responsibilities of a **Meter Technician:**
- Obtain accurate readings from water meters
- Carry out meter exchanges - (Full training will be provided)
- Collect meter data
- Lastly and most importantly provide excellent customer service.

To be successful in the role of a **Meter Technician** you will need the following skills/experience:

- Customer focussed individuals
- A professional image is very important - you will be provided you with a uniform and van
- The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day.
- You will also use a handheld computer to carry out your work, so basic IT skills are required
- Enjoys working outside
- Will be on your feet a lot meeting customers
- Organises own workload
