As the Commercial Analyst for this market leading rapidly growing organisation based near Maidenhead, you will work with the commercial team and finance business partner to generate reports and provide insight into the commercial viability of contracts.You will enjoy a high level of visibility within the business from day one and business partner individuals of all levels of seniority. My client is also committed to supporting the successful individual in developing their career and this role could naturallylead into a Finance Business Partner role or an Account Manager role working within Sales dependant on where your interests lie.

The role:

- New business commercial proposals and cost analysis
- Guaranteeing that all inputs to the model are accurate and regularly updated so that the cost-base is fully accounted for and accurately reflected, while enabling us to remain competitive in the market
- Ensuring the companies pricing is based on up-to-date/real-time inputs, wherever possible, rather than assumptions or legacy data
- Regularly reviewing and amending the model so that it develops alongside the business needs and enables effective assessment of costs, revenue and profitability
- Owning the interaction with Finance, Operations and Commercial colleagues to ensure on-going buy-in to the model and the way in which it is utilised
- Owning the process of profitability analysis for the existing customer-base, using up-to-date data to create and present financial reviews on all Strategic and Key Accounts at regular intervals throughout the year in order to assist the team in deliveringmargin growth through improved visibility and reporting accuracy
- Analysis of broader datasets relating to secondary revenue streams to ensure all costs are accurately recorded and loss-making activity is negated
- Working with Operational and Commercial colleagues to propose solutions to problematic customer relationships, i.e., loss-making or low-margin contracts

The person
- Finance/business analytical experience
- Data modelling in a finance function
- SAP and Power BI experience is essential
- Experience of taking big sets of data and providing analysis
- Experienced Excel user
- Proactive mindset
