Die Caster

Our client, based in Kidderminster requires a Foundry Caster. Long term opportunities and the role offers the possibility of a permanent position following a successful trial period. Overtime available.

**Responsibilities of the Foundry Caster**:

- Run casting machines to achieve quality and output plan.
- Ensure timely delivery of raw material and movement of finished goods to maintain output plan.
- Perform machine adjustments to maintain process control.
- Change dies and set up machine for production.
- Carry out all quality checks.
- Prepare and perform ‘die changes’ as and when required and set up machines for production.

**Requirements of the Foundry Caster**:

- Foundry experience and working with die casting machines and molten aluminium essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Engineering or Mechanical experience or City & Guilds or NVQ qualified in related engineering studies preferred but not essential.

**Pay rate & Hours**:

- £26,000 per annum (plus shift pay £1.03 for double days or £3.07 for nights).
- Rotating shifts 06:00am - 14:15pm and 14:00pm - 22:15pm.
- Nights 22:00pm - 06:15pm.
