**About us**

Queen Anne’s School is a happy and exciting place to work, where every member of the school team is valued. The school is located in beautiful 35 acre grounds with good transport links and within easy walking distance of Reading Station.

**The role**

We are seeking to appoint a number of Graduate Assistants who are interested in a career either in education or in pastoral care. These positions are very varied and fulfilling and offer great opportunities for graduates interested in the pastoral care of young people.

The positions will be residential with accommodation available for use during the holiday times also. No charge is made for the accommodation or food.

The primary role of the Graduate Assistant is to work within the boarding environment to get to know the girls and build up a relationship of trust with them. The Graduate Assistants will be expected to be ready to give support to the House staff team. In addition, they will have other responsibilities in school depending on her areas of expertise and interests.

Main duties include to:

- Assist in the smooth running of the House, liaising closely with the House Parent/s and their team
- Plan and deliver a range of engaging evening activities for the boarders
- Provide academic support with student prep and revision
- Assist Matrons with domestic duties
- Assist the girls with house routines and rotas
- Be a role model and listening ear
- Be resident on the school site in provided accommodation

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)._

Pay: £17,000.00 per year
