The role that the catering Dept at GMMH are looking to fill is that of a stores person / delivery driver. This will be primarily based at Woodlands Hospital but will include visits to Bolton hospital several times a day.

This role will include aspects of lone working aswell as being part of the larger catering team.

The role will be 2 days a week Monday and Sunday, with shifts starting as early as 10am and finishing as late as 6.30pm on occasion. There will be weekend work which would be paid at an enhanced rate

Applicants must be physically fit, as there will be long periods of standing and lifting. Equipment will be provided to assist with lifting.

Receiving and accepting deliveries from outside delivery companies.

Receiving internal deliveries and stock transfers

Organising distribution (with Transport team) of food stocks and consumables to units and wards.

Delivering of consumables and food items to outside units

Organising and distribution of food supplements

Good stock control

Cleaning of stores area - daily checklists
