- Assist with the renewal of reinsurance programs with a focus on regional/multinational clients and prospects.
- Meet with clients, as necessary, to learn their needs and maintain/develop strong relationships.
- Assist with the design of new programs for clients' needs, placing business with client-approved reinsurers.
- Working in close contact with the Data Analytics team to create bespoke client solutions.
- Negotiate with reinsurers on pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve positives outcomes for clients.
- Produce placement slips, cover notes and contracts, as needed.
- Monitor the follow-up on contract documentation, ensuring the timely flow of materials.
- Potential to travel to Japan once established.

**We will rely on you to**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, clients, and colleagues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of reinsurer capability (product lines, capacity, approvals, etc.).
- Demonstrate proficient awareness of market conditions to better serve clients and obtain the best terms from the Markets.
- Document correspondence in accordance with GC procedures.
- Manage reinsurance placement details via GC’s online portal (GC Market Place) in a timely and accurate manner.

**What you need to have**:

- Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and industry leaders at all levels.
- Ability to manage potential conflicts of interest and always handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines is essential.

**What makes you stand out**:

- International (re)insurance market knowledge
- Completed a reinsurance and or insurance graduate programme.
- Experience of non-marine property reinsurance, treaty broking or underwriting preferred.
