You will be key support for the Head of Finance (Operations) and Director of Finance (Commercial & Operations) in providing data driven, quality content that supports our senior management teams in decision making.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that is looking for the next step in their career and wanting to join an innovative organisation. Travel will be required as you will be responsible for supporting our service centre operations, which covers Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Northern England.

**What you'll be doing**:
As the Finance Business Partner for Operations, you will be responsible for 4 regions. You will become a trusted partner of our operations team, supporting them to drive optimum financial performance, embedding a culture of robust financial control and prudence. The role is crucial in ensuring delivery of financial performance contributing to Yodel's strategic plan. In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for the following:

- Support SVC with their cost reduction plans ensuring that we are consistently operating at the lowest cost to serve model.
- Work closely with Operations Directors in understanding their financials, looking at opportunities to remove additional costs whilst operating efficiently and effectively.
- Pro-actively investigate variances in expected performance, whether positive or negative, to identify root cause and pro-actively inform and engage colleagues across the business as necessary in taking corrective action. These should include adherence to contractually agreed internal processes.
- Develop and deliver relevant and timely periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis sufficient to enable the management team to understand operating performance against key levers and KPIs. Preparation of monthly finance packs showing service centre performance versus their agreed targets.
- Ensure adherence to Yodel financial policies and procedures, maintaining robust financial and cash control and governance.

**What you need to show us**:
The successful Finance Business Partner will be working in a similar business facing finance role across multiple locations and have strong stakeholder management experience. You will be a Finance professional that has the confidence to support and challenge colleagues if necessary. In addition, you will be ambitious and be able to communicate at all levels across the business, including the senior leadership team.

You need to possess the following skills/experience:

- Ideally an understanding of the logistics and/or retail sectors.
- Utilises data/information to identify and forecast trends and understand impact, opportunities, costs, and risks to the business.
- Being able to interpret and communicate finance data to none finance colleagues.
- Ideally Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
