Summary A fantastic opportunity to join National Trust Cymru in caring for some of the most iconic places in Wales. This is a permanent role with National Trust Cymru consultancy, and we are looking for someone with a passion for nature-friendly farming,great organisational skills and a love for delivering first class support to join our team. As a Land Use & Farming Adviser, you'll be working closely with specialist colleagues to provide support in key areas of farming across Wales, with the ambition toachieve higher standards of land management across the National Trust. Ultimately helping to deliver the objectives within our Strategy’s Land, Outdoors & Nature Programme, including delivery of High Nature Status on our land.

**We’re open to applicants based anywhere in Wales. **We’re offering a hybrid approach to how you work, to enable you to be more flexible and achieve a better work/life balance.

Your contractual place of work will be located at one of our offices at Wrexham, Betws y Coed, Llandeilo, or Newport to name a few. There will be an opportunity to explore and agree working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.You'll find that no two days will be the same.

National Trust Cymru land is spread across Wales, in Gower, Brecon, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Wrexham, Snowdonia, Llyn and Anglesey. Our land is at the heart of what makes the Trust special in Wales and we proudly care for more than 46,000hectares. Around 97% is managed by farming in some way, either by us, farm tenants or commons rights holders.

What you'll be doing You'll provide efficient, effective, and flexible expertise in Land Use systems delivering Nature, carbon, and wider benefits alongside food production. As part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated land management advice todrive land use changes which enable us to achieve our ambitious objectives for nature, carbon, and access.- You'll provide leadership, guidance, and support to properties on diverse land use and farming systems for nature, carbon, and people Contributing to the development and delivery of Estate Management Plans
- You'll lead in the coordination of in-hand farm support payments, Agri-environment, and current and future compliance obligations Providing technical and practical advice to operational staff, estate managers and site monitors. Assisting to ensure theyare compliant with National Trust Cymru and external requirements and regulations
- You'll be able to assess land condition and minimum standards across in-hand and tenanted farmland, advising on improvements and mitigation measures to meet our Land and Nature ambition
- You'll champion the work of National Trust Cymru by building relationships, partnerships, making our programmes available to both existing and new audiences. Exploring new and innovative ways to develop opportunities and engage with and support our currentand future tenants
- You’ll also draw upon, and contribute to, external data, trends and good practice to champion innovation in agriculture and farm produce marketing to help to increase our supporter engagement
- Working with our fundraising colleagues, and others, to seek out and respond to opportunities to raise funds to drive change.
