**THE ROLE**:
University of Portsmouth in partnership with ReThink Productivity Ltd is looking to employ an KTP Associate for a 4-month project.
For over 10 years ReThink have supported companies to optimise their productivity and right size their operating models - typically saving circa 5% operating costs. They provide organisations with the data and insights that enable them to make better decisions that benefit their business, customers, and colleagues.
The project focus is to develop a mathematical and AI-based methodology to tackle manual allocating and forecasting of complex budgets vs costs in the retail sector, utilising historical demand data which introduces potential uncertainties in real-time demand. This project will improve productivity and efficiency of budgeting across diverse locations and complex workforce hours.
This AKT project is funded by UKRI through Innovate UK. This programme has been designed to create short-term collaborations between a university and business to deliver a rapid and targeted intervention to accelerate the development of an innovation project, with potential for significant impact on the business. AKT projects are delivered by graduates who benefit from the opportunity to work on a strategically relevant project within industry, whilst receiving support and guidance from university academics. More information about the Accelerated Knowledge Transfer programme can be found at Accelerated Knowledge Transfer - Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (ktp-uk.org).
