We are seeking an experienced Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner to run a busy room at our very busy Murrayfield Nursery, North West Edinburgh, EH12 5SP, on great transport routes. A fantastic salary c£28,650 for 38 hr working week is being offered, alongside our amazing benefits package.

There is also a starter bonus of £1000 paid £250 in month 1 and £250 in month 2 and £500 at end of probation

As Head of Room you will:

- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
- Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
- Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence are met
- Qualified a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years and have at least 4 years experience in working in a nursery and at least 1 years experience in a leadership role.

The Murrayfield Nursery is part of CC Nurseries and is based in Edinburgh, at our busy 90 place nursery we offer a home-from-home environment, led by our passionate and caring team, our nursery is filled with hand-picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery. Outside we have a large, secure outdoor space including fire pit, fishpond and outdoor classroom, as well as a separate area for the youngest children, to enjoy fun.
