We are recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor, responsible for leading and supporting the works manager on the day-to-day operational requirements of our Steel Manufacturing Fabrication Shop. This consists of managing skilled Fabricator/Welders within 15 fabrication bays on the day shift, as well as the Prep area. This is a key role to the business and will require high safety standards, accuracy and speed to ensure that our high-quality fabrication and welding requirements meet client specifications first time, every time.

This is a permanent role and the working hours are 06:00hrs-14:30hrs Monday - Thursday & 06:00hrs to 13:30hrs Friday = 39hrs contract. (Overtime is essential for this role). Our recently constructed state-of-the-art facility in Derby offers excellent working conditions and high-quality health & safety and quality standards.

**Key Skills, Experience & Attributes**
- Experience in steel construction production supervising is desirable but not essential..
- Strong all-round knowledge of workshop practice.
- Experience of managing a team of skilled staff.
- Able to read, understand and interpret detailed fabrication drawings to support our highly trained Fabricator/Welders.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Deliver daily communications to colleagues, through team briefings and problem-solving.
- Attend daily production meetings to discuss Production Program, Quality and Health & Safety matters.
- Managing the workshop workload for each employee and allocating resources to projects as necessary.
- Support the performance management process to ensure Performance KPIs are achieved.
- Liaise with the Production department to ensure the correct materials are ordered and checked on delivery.
- Ensure the highest quality of work standards are delivered.
- Meet all standards in respect of Company policies and procedures, including all SHEQ standards.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedures at all times, ensuring that all team members do the same and follow the works instructions and adhere to all risk assessments.
- Be a “working supervisor” supporting the movement of materials around the factory - performing material handling duties as appropriate.
